Storm Drain Filter

Catch Basin Drain Guard for Filtering Stormwater

storm drain filterThe storm drain filter is an economical solution for any site concerned with silt, sediment, or stormwater pollution control. Placed directly under the drain grate and inside of the storm drain, the catch basin drain guard works to catch pollutants while still allowing water to flow into the drain. Storm drain filters effectively work to keep sites in compliance with local and federal stormwater and erosion control regulations.

Storm Drain Filter Guard Installation

lifting a drain grateAll the storm drain filter guards shown above are installed using the grate as a securing force.

  1. Remove the grate.
  2. Clear the grate area of any dirt or sand.
  3. Place the guard pointed end first into the drain.
  4. Replace the grate so that that drain guard fabric is pinched between the grate and concrete.
  5. Excess filter fabric around the outside of the grate can be trimmed or cut as needed.
