Debris Boom for Trash Under Surface
Debris Boom for Floating Trash
Question: I need a debris boom for trash under the water surface to help with a problem of floating trash in my lake. It is spreading to all areas of the lake on top of and below the surface. Which boom would be best for these conditions?
Answer: Thank you for contacting us! For control of your debris both above and below
the surface, we recommend using the Debris Net Boom. This trash boom is designed as a multi-purpose barrier that can block incoming trash from all directions.
Helping to provide you with dual support, these trash booms are manufactured with a flotation device on top and a marine treated net on the bottom. The marine grade flotation device will block trash that is floating across your lake, while the net will help to contain trash into a specific area.
Since you are worried about trash spreading to different areas across your lake, one way you could install this barrier is along the shore of your lake. Here, the net and boom will be properly positioned to stop trash in your area before it spreads further across your lake.
Best use of this debris boom is in areas where water conditions are mild and there are little waves or wind. This helps to ensure that your boom can properly block incoming trash in your water location.
Typical conditions for this boom include areas where the current is less than one knot, the waves do not exceed two (2) feet, and wind is not blowing faster than 30 miles per hour. If any of these conditions are more intense, please feel free to give us a call so we can help find the debris boom that will work best for you.
