Debris Boom for Controlling Aquatic Plants
Aquatic Plant Containment Boom
Question: Hi, I am looking for a way to control aquatic plants in my lake. Would your debris boom work for this? What is it made of?
Answer: Thank you for contacting us. The Debris Boom is a great option for controlling aquatic plants in your lake. It is durable enough to withstand constant exposure to outside elements, while still remaining strong when controlling the plants in your area.
Standard Debris Boom Construction
The standard version of this particular boom is made with 22-ounce impermeable PVC material that can be installed around aquatic habitats to effectively contain and control materials. Booms will feature flotation and a bottom chain for additional support in your location.
Components for these debris booms includes the following:
- 4", 6", 8" Foam Filled Top Flotation Collar
- 1/4" or 5/16" Bottom Chain
- 22 oz. PVC Impermeable Material
- Standard Lengths: 25', 50', and 100'
- Bottom Skirt: 6" or 12"
While the standard color for the debris boom is a high visibility yellow, additional dark colors, such as green, black, and blue are also available upon request. These additional colors can help blend your barrier into the surrounding aquatic life and vegetation. If an alternative color is desired, please let us know what color would be the best option for your location. Debris Barriers Technical Specifications Page
