Cost for Silt Curtain Type II
Type II Silt Curtain Pricing and Accessories
Question: What is the cost for silt curtain type II with a length of 200 ft. and a depth of 5 ft.? I am ideally looking for the cost per linear foot if that is available. How do I get pricing for GEI Works' products? Also, do you have anchors available to help with the installation?
Answer: Great question! In addition to manufacturing silt curtain, we do also provide installation services. Please contact us with the specifics of your project, and we'll be happy to provide you with an estimate.
Triton Silt Curtain Sizing Options
Silt curtain cost and sizes are commonly quoted per section rather than by the foot. While GEI Works' can price by the foot, the silt curtains are typically made in a section length of either 50 or 100 feet. These sections can be joined together to meet the desired length (in your case: 200 ft.).
Silt Curtain Depths
In terms of depth, the turbidity curtain has a standard depth of five feet (5 ft.), with additional options available from 3 feet to 100 feet. These turbidity barriers are specified based on your site's location and allow one foot of spacing between the bottom of your turbidity curtain and the floor bottom.
Anchoring a Silt Curtain
For any turbidity curtain used in moving waters, anchoring systems are needed to keep the barrier in place. Aanchors are placed every 50 or 100 feet along the silt curtain to maintain its position and shape despite currents, waves, and tides. GEI Works offers the following silt curtain anchoring system accessories:
- Poly Rope
- Anchoring Reefing Line
- Tidal Compensators
- Tow Bridles
- Marine Accessories Flyer
