Anchors for a Type 2 DOT Turbidity Curtain
Anchoring Options for the Type 2 Turbidity Curtain
Q: I have a type 2 DOT turbidity curtain. Would I need anchors to secure this in place? What type of anchor would I use?
A: Yes, we do recommend using Marine Anchors, especially for Type 2 and the Type 3 turbidity curtains. Due torr the moving water conditions where these curtains are typically used, barriers may be prone to movement and instability. The use of an anchor can help keep the curtain in place, and allows it to operate at high levels throughout its use.

The type of marine anchor you would need to use depends entirely on your project and the water conditions you have. We offer several different types of systems allowing you to choose the one that best fits your site requirements.

- 40 lb/18 kg Danforth
- Galvanized Steel Chain
