What Is The Difference Between Type 1 Economy And DOT Style Turbidity Curtain?

(Midland, Michigan, USA)

What is the difference between type 1 Economy turbidity curtain and type 1 Dot turbidity curtain? I am looking at your online prices right now, and I am interesting in your products. I am not sure if I need the economy or DOT style. Please advise.

Thank you for asking. The type 1 turbidity barrier comes in two difference styles to satisfy customer needs.

The type 1 economy turbidity barrier is made to contain turbidity and silt in calm water conditions where there are no government regulations involved.

The DOT style turbidity barrier is manufactured with a thicker fabric and provides a heavier bottom chain as the economy barrier. This barrier is required for dredging projects under Department of Transportation regulations.
