Turbdity Control for Shoreline Repair
I am working on a project that requires turbidity control on a small man-made lake. We are starting construction of a rip-rap shore line repair. What do I need?
Hello! Thanks for your inquiry. In order to attain optimal turbidity control you will need a turbidity barrier. The Type 1 Silt Barrier is designed specifically for silt and turbidity control in calm waters such as swales, canals, small ponds and lakes and harbors. Without a doubt, the floating silt curtain is one of the most frequently specified and used silt screen products in the United States as a site (BMP) Best Management practice and for NPDES compliance.
Granite Environmental,Inc. is dedicated to developing innovative turbidity curtain solutions that provide superior performance and achieve the desired results for our customers. We work closely with our client team to design a deployment layout taking into consideration water conditions, project progress, budget and water quality goals. In order to provide an accurate assessment for our clients we normally will request the following information:
• site conditions
• water velocity
• waves (height, frequency, etc)
• wind speed and direction
• tides
• soil type (contaminated?)
• project duration
• site specific requirements and project specifications
We look forward to speaking with you and getting you started on your project successfully!
