How Do You Install Turbidity Curtain In A Creek?

(Brampton, Canada)

How do I install turbidity curtain in a creek 10m wide and with a depth of 2m? The water is very clean and calm. I want to replace culvert and contain debris and sediment.

I would be happy to help. Silt curtain installation can be as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Step 1: Attach the chain via shackle or snap hook for section 1 to the chain or ring of section 2.

Step 2: Slide together the aluminum extrusion end connectors of your type 2 or 3 turbidity curtain (Skip this step for type 1 silt screens). Insert the toggle pin.

Step 3: Use the rope ties or heavy duty zip ties to tie one grommet eye of one silt barrier section to the aligned eye of the mating section. Repeat for entire skirt depth.

You can also use our turbidity barrier installation pciture gallery for visual assistance.
