Do Permitting Agencies Like COE, Regional Water Quality Control Board, And Fish & Game Require A Turbidity Curtain For Dredging?

We have a project that requires dredging of a back water channel from a boat launch ramp leading into a river. Do the permitting agencies such as COE, Regional Water Quality Control Board, Fish & Game, etc. require a turbidity curtain for dredging? Which permitting agency typically requires the silt barrier? What turbidity curtain model would you recommend?
Thanks for asking. Yes, based on our knowledge the permitting agencies will require it when issuing your permit. In case you are looking to rent or let the barrier install, there is a small company called Dixon Marine services who may be able to help.
Normally, the agency who has authority over that water body. So it could be DEC, EPA, USACE, etc. I would start locally at the city / county level though, and they would be able to direct you.
The turbidity curtain model depends on the flow and site conditions. In your case, we would recommend either a type 2 silt curtain or type 3 silt curtain.
