Silt Barrier, silt curtain, floating silt curtain and silt protector are designed specifically for marine use to prevent water pollution. These barriers contain and control the dispersion of turbidity and silt (TSS and NTU) in a water body related to marine construction, dredging or environmental remediation activities.
The enforcement of the Clean Water Act (1998) and NPDES phase II (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) Regulations make protecting water resources a high priority. Federal and State regulators enforce these rules.
